Alumni Company 2019
Performing "MACBETH" ON TOUR
ANNIE SAENGER (Violent Delights ensemble—2018)
Annie Ruth Levine Saenger (New York, NY, and proud of it, if you can believe it) graduates from Yale University with a BA in English and Theater Studies in May 2019. For as long as she can remember she’s been trying to figure out why she’s unendingly obsessed with Shakespeare and what to do about it. Her first summer in Stratford was with the 2018 company, in which she was seen as Gower in Pericles and the Apothecary in Romeo and Juliet. Previous credits include: as u like it (Yale School of Drama); Fucking A, Mr. Burns (Yale Dramat); Hamlet?, Mother Courage, Macbeth, Constellations, Copenhagen, Medea, and Amadeus (Yale College). Training: BADA, Shakespeare Academy at Stratford, the Public Theater, NHSI/Cherubs (Northwestern University).
Ellis Sargeant (Rough Magic Ensemble—2017)
Ellis Sargeant is a rising senior at the University of Notre Dame. He was first roped into doing Shakespeare at the tender age of ten by his older brother. He played all of the children in a student-run high school production of The Merry Wives of Windsor. It was a gateway play, and he’s been hooked ever since. Over the last decade, he has been in twenty-five of Shakespeare’s plays. His favorite roles are Launce from The Two Gentlemen of Verona and Posthumous from Cymbeline. He is incredibly excited to be returning to Stratford with this Alumni Company and would like to thank anyone who has ever given him an opportunity to talk about Shakespeare.
Robert Solomon (Rough Magic Ensemble—2017)
Originally from Georgia, Robert is delighted to return to Shakespeare Academy @ Stratford— this time as a member of the Alumni Company! Although currently studying business administration at Georgia Tech, Robert has always had a strong appreciation and love for the arts (“Eeee I just love acting!”- Robert Solomon). Robert is also an avid classical pianist (donate to our campaign for an original song played by Robert). Past acting credits include Measure for Measure and The Tempest with SA@S, A Midsummer Night’s Dream with DramaTech, and the short film Duke, seen recently at the Festival de Cannes. “Thank you for coming and supporting us!”
