SA@S 2020: O, For a MUSE of WIFI !

We’re immensely grateful for the passion, talents, ingenuity, and dedication of all the artists who joined us for our 2020 Summer Online — and grateful, too, to the audience members, friends, and donors whose support of SA@S makes all the difference in these wild times.

(meanwhile, here’s what we got up to online summer 2020)

Troilus & Cressida Tuesdays

“still, wars and lechery; nothing else holds fashion” —T+C, 5.2

Troilus and Cressida is a love story, but a brutal one. It’s a war story, but a bitterly comic one. In its rough, unblinking, often uncomfortable tale, legendary heroes are cut down to size, cities burn in the fumes of human pettiness and jealousy, and a smart, frightened, fighting woman might just get a chance to escape myths and their men. Join us either as an actor/reader OR as an audience member as we read and discuss Troilus and Cressida on Zoom over the course of five weeks — one act per week, followed by discussion. Click below to learn more and to sign up!

DATES: June 30, July 7, July 14, July 21, July 28

As You Like It Thursdays

“love is merely a madness” —AYLI, 3.2

Orlando is persecuted by his brother. Rosalind is banished by her uncle. Deceit and danger send them and their companions into the Forest of Arden, a place where music, philosophy, and romance mingle with melancholy, disguise, and discovery. Join us either as an actor/reader OR as an audience member as we read and discuss Shakespeare’s daffy, delightful, stranger-than-advertised pastoral comedy on Zoom over the course of five weeks — one act per week, followed by discussion. Click below to learn more and sign up!

DATES: July 2, July 9, July 16, July 23, July 30
